La Asociación de Personas con Discapacidad Verdiblanca, junto con el Ayuntamiento de Almería y la colaboración del ICAA, Turismo Andalucía y la Diputación, organiza por décimo año consecutivo el concurso del Festival Inclusivo de Cortometrajes Gallo Pedro, el único andaluz dedicado a obras audiovisuales en torno a la inclusión de la diversidad funcional, con el objetivo de crear conciencia y sensibilizar a la ciudadanía sobre las capacidades y necesidades de esta población. Una selección de los cortos presentados al concurso de este aniversario se proyectará en una sesión de FICAL, donde las personas asistentes elegirán el premio del público del palmarés Gallo Pedro. La entrega de todos los galardones tendrá lugar el 21 de diciembre, a las 17.00, en el Espacio ALMA de Almería. La madrina de honor de esta edición es Leticia Dolera.
10TH GALLO PEDRO (JOHN DORY) INCLUSIVE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL SELECTION
For the tenth year running, the Verdiblanca Association of People with Disabilities is organising, together with Almería City Council and with the collaboration of the ICAA (The Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts), Turismo Andalucía and the Provincial Council, the Gallo Pedro (John Dory) Inclusive Short Film Festival competition, the only Andalusian festival dedicated to audiovisual works on the inclusion of functional diversity, with a view to raising awareness and sensitising the public to the abilities and needs of this group of citizens. A selection of the short films submitted to this anniversary competition will be screened at a session at FICAL, where the audience will choose the Gallo Pedro Award. The awards ceremony will take place on 21 December at 5 p.m. at the Espacio ALMA in Almería. This year's matron of honour is Leticia Dolera.
LABORATORIO DE CORTOMETRAJES INCLUSIVOS
Esta experiencia formativa coordinada por la Asociación de Personas con Discapacidad Verdiblanca, encargada por la Diputación de Almería y FICAL, está compuesta por cinco sesiones que desarrollará la empresa especializada Órbita Estudio, con la participación de alumnado de Imagen del IES Albaida y usuarios de asociaciones almerienses de personas con discapacidad, especialmente ASALSIDO.
Mediante la creación de equipos técnicos y artísticos inclusivos con personas con y sin discapacidad, se llevará a cabo esta iniciativa con el fin de experimentar en temas como la diversidad en el cine, la creación de guiones, la preproducción, el casting y la planificación de un rodaje.
INCLUSIVE SHORT FILM LABORATORY
This training experience coordinated by the Verdiblanca Association of People with Disabilities, commissioned by the Almería Provincial Council and FICAL, consists of five sessions to be run by the specialised company Órbita Estudio, with the participation of Image students from Albaida Secondary School and members of Almería’s associations of people with disabilities, especially ASALSIDO (Almeria Down's Syndrome Association).
Through the creation of inclusive technical and artistic teams made up of people with and without disabilities, this initiative will be carried out with the aim of experimenting with topics such as diversity in film, the creation of scripts, pre-production, casting and the planning of a film shoot.
