En esta sección tenemos oportunidad de disfrutar en primicia producciones que muy pronto llegarán a las plataformas y televisiones.
TNT presenta No me gusta conducir, nominada a Mejor Serie de Comedia en el certamen de Almería, con la presencia de su equipo con su creador Borja Cobeaga a la cabeza. Movistar Plus+ estrenará Fácil, última ficción de Anna R. Costa, que llegará a la plataforma en diciembre. A esto debemos sumar el preestreno de la segunda temporada de Into the dark de AXN.
Las producciones documentales televisivas también estarán presentes en FICAL con la esperada producción Arqueología de lo jondo de Canal Sur y PornoXplotación de la directora ganadora del Goya, Mabel Lozano, cuyo proyecto se presentó en la pasada edición del festival.
A esto debemos sumar una nueva entrega de la web serie Chicos, de la almeriense Marta Vazgo.

In this section we can enjoy a preview of productions that will soon be coming to platforms and televisions.
TNT is presenting No me gusta conducir, nominated for Best Comedy Series at the Almeria Festival, with the presence of its team, led by its creator Borja Cobeaga. Movistar Plus+ will premiere Fácil, Anna R. Costa's latest fiction, which will arrive on the platform in December. Not to mention the premiere of the second season of AXN's Into the dark as well.
Television documentary productions will also be present at FICAL with the eagerly awaited production Arqueología de lo jondo by Canal Sur and PornoXplotación by Goya-winning director Mabel Lozano, whose project was presented at last year’s festival.
To this we must add a new episode of the web series Chicos, by Almeria-born Marta Vazgo.

Inspirada en la propia experiencia del director, la serie cuenta la historia de Pablo, un profesor de universidad de 40 años algo ensimismado y gruñón obligado a sacarse el carnet de conducir. Pablo, el personaje interpretado por Juan Diego Botto, es un sabelotodo que al apuntarse a la autoescuela descubre que todavía tiene mucho que aprender. De conducir y de la vida en general. Nada más iniciar las clases, coincidirá con Yolanda, alumna suya en la universidad, y a la que da vida Lucía Caraballo, con la que Pablo establecerá una curiosa relación: profesor y estudiante en la facultad, compañeros de pupitre en la autoescuela. El actor David Lorente interpreta a Lorenzo, un implicado y bromista profesor de autoescuela que le guiará al volante de esta ardua aventura.
Inspired by the director's own experience, the series tells the story of Pablo, a somewhat self-absorbed and grumpy, 40-year-old university professor, who is forced to get his driving licence. Pablo, the character played by Juan Diego Botto, is a know-it-all who, when he signs up at driving school, discovers that he still has a lot to learn about driving, and about life in general. As soon as he starts his classes, he meets Yolanda, a student of his at the university, played by Lucía Caraballo, with whom Pablo establishes a curious relationship: teacher and student at the faculty, desk mates at the driving school. Actor David Lorente plays Lorenzo, an dedicated and fun-loving driving school instructor who will guide him at the wheel of this arduous adventure.

ARQUEOLOGÍA DE LO JONDO, Una serie documental sobre las raíces del flamenco

El manantial del Flamenco no es un lugar físico ni un tiempo determinado: brota del alma y de la garganta de quien lo siente, sin duda, los yacimientos más difíciles de expoliar. Si queremos entender por qué en el Flamenco se grita, se dice ole y se canta en andaluz y de memoria, debemos abrir una cata arqueológica en el alma y en la garganta hasta encontrar el estrato en el que este pueblo sufrió un trauma tan brutal que todavía le duele. Tras los cien años de soledad que padecieron las víctimas de los decretos de expulsión de los judíos, la pragmática contra los gitanos, las órdenes de asimilación de los moriscos y la esclavitud negra, vinieron otros cien años de desolación para los desterrados que se negaron a dejar su tierra. Siguieron otros cien años de prisión contra la población gitana. La detención masiva de hombres, mujeres y niños en las gitanerías de toda España, entre el 30 y el 31 de julio de 1749, constituye uno de los hechos más ignorados e infames de racismo de Estado de nuestra historia. Y, sin duda, uno de los hitos capitales para entender la evolución de lo jondo. Los cien años de liberación que se sucedieron después de abolirse la Inquisición, pero no el hambre, sacaron al Flamenco de la clandestinidad hasta convertirse en el arte universalmente conocido y respetado que es hoy.
The source of Flamenco is not a physical place or a specific time: it springs from the soul and the throat of those who feel it, undoubtedly the most difficult field to loot. If we want to understand why Flamenco is shouted, said and sung in Andalusian and from memory, we must open an archaeological tasting session in the soul and in the throat until we reach the stratum in which their people suffered such a brutal trauma that it still hurts. After the hundred years of loneliness suffered by the victims of the Jewish expulsion decrees, the the anti Gypsy pragmatics (laws), the orders of assimilation of the Moors and slavery of Africans, came another hundred years of desolation for the exiles who refused to leave their land. Another hundred years of imprisonment of the Roma population followed. The mass detention of men, women and children in gypsy quarters all over Spain, between 30th and 31st July 1749, is one of the most unknown and infamous acts of state racism in our history. And, without a doubt, one of the key milestones in understanding the evolution of flamenco. The one hundred years of liberation that followed the abolition of the Inquisition, but not of hunger, brought Flamenco out of hiding to become the universally known and respected art that it is today.

Marga, Nati, Patri y Àngels, son cuatro mujeres buscando lo que son en un mundo que ya ha decidido lo que son sin contar con ellas. Su forma de descubrir su independencia comienza a chocar con todas las normas establecidas para ellas, unas normas que tienen que cumplir para seguir viviendo juntas en el piso.
After a lifetime living in different centres, four women with functional diversity from Barcelona live in a supervised flat overlooking Barceloneta. Marga, Nati, Patri and Àngels are four women searching for what they are in a world that has already decided what they are without even counting on them. Their way of discovering their independence begins to clash with all the rules established for them, rules they must comply with in order to continue living together in the flat.
