Tras los cambios que se dieron a este concurso en 2015, su evolución ha sido muy positiva. Se ha mantenido fiel el espíritu de esta actividad que pretende acercarnos fotográficamente a los espacios y el paisaje con perspectivas diferentes. En esta ocasión se ha buscado, gracias a la asesoría de excelentes profesionales conocedores de este arte y de un cualificado jurado, ir profesionalizando el concurso y apostar por una colección de series fotográficas en las que la narración se convierte en otro gran protagonista.
En la selección realizada por el jurado, se ha ido más allá del paisaje turístico, al recurrir tanto a interiores como a exteriores, abordados con planteamientos muy diferentes en cuanto a técnica, estilos, enfoques conceptuales y estéticos. Cada fotografía es un universo propio, que amplía su fuerza como parte de un todo.
En el catálogo de esta exposición nos encontramos una treintena de fotografías que unen belleza y calidad elegidas entre los centenares de propuestas recibidas. Se han seleccionado series fotográficas de diez autores y autoras que transmiten la belleza de estos escenarios de cine y demuestran por qué Almería sigue atrayendo a profesionales de todo el país, con miradas muy diferentes.

9th "ALMERIA, LAND OF FILM" PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
After the changes that were made to this competition in 2015, the evolution has been very positive. It has remained faithful to the spirit of this activity designed to bring us photographically closer to the places and the landscape from different perspectives. On this occasion, thanks to the expert advice of the excellent professionals of this art and a highly qualified jury, we have sought to make the competition more professional and focus on a collection of photo series in which the narrative also becomes another major character.
In the selection carried out by the jury, we have gone beyond the tourist landscape, resorting to both interiors and exteriors, tackled with very different approaches in terms of technique and styles as well as conceptual and aesthetic approaches. Each photograph is a universe in its own, which intensifies its strength as part of a whole.
There are some thirty photographs in the catalogue of this exhibition, that combine beauty and quality, chosen from among the hundreds of proposals received. Photographic series by ten authors have been selected that transmit the beauty of these film sets and demonstrate why Almería continues to attract professionals from all over the country, with very different points of view.
