Pregunta por más datos, insiste, pero no hay respuesta. Tras varios días de silencio llega otro mensaje: de nuevo un SOS, esta vez seguido de un icono de llanto. Ángeles sabe que alguien la necesita al otro lado de ese teléfono, y que si quiere ayudarla va a tener que encontrar el modo de comunicarse con ella.
Ángeles Blanco is a lawyer at an association that supports people with cerebral palsy. One day, she receives a message on her phone: an SOS. Nothing else. Ángeles quickly replies, asking for more information, but there's no answer. After several days of silence, another message arrives: again an SOS, this time followed by a crying emoji. Ángeles knows someone needs her on the other end of that phone, and that if she wants to help, she'll have to find a way to communicate.

Atormentado por estas visitas y con su salud deteriorándose rápidamente, Goya pinta las Pinturas Negras en las paredes de su hogar como último recurso para expulsar a los fantasmas de su vida, perdiendo casi todo en el proceso, incluida su cordura y casi su vida.
In 1819, an exhausted Francisco de Goya retires to "La Quinta del Sordo" to spend his final days away from public life and focused on his work. Unfortunately, in the deep solitude of that modest country house, the painter falls seriously ill. Closer to death than ever before, Francisco de Goya is visited by the ghosts of his past. Tormented by these visits and with his health rapidly declining, Goya paints the Black Paintings on the walls of his home as a last resort to drive the ghosts out of his life—losing almost everything in the process, including his sanity and nearly his life.

Un futuro prometedor es un cortometraje cuya trama parece suceder en dos épocas distintas, adentrándonos en el mundo de los sueños y su influencia. El protagonista de la historia, perteneciente a una sociedad antigua, se queda dormido y sueña con un mundo apocalíptico, interactuando y viviendo la cotidianidad de un día cualquiera en una ciudad bajo los escombros. La sociedad futura vive bajo el dominio de las máquinas, robots que patrullan las calles. En los suburbios los humanos sobreviven buscando comida y objetos. Al despertar, el protagonista habrá adquirido información que puede conllevar cambios importantes para su comunidad y, en definitiva, para la sociedad antigua a la que pertenece. ¿Creará un arma?, ¿inventará la rueda?, ¿puede un sueño cambiar por completo el curso de nuestra historia?
A Promising Future is a short film whose plot seems to unfold in two different eras, immersing us in the world of dreams and their influence. The protagonist, a man from an ancient society, falls asleep and dreams of an apocalyptic world where he experiences the daily life of a city in ruins. In this future society, machines dominate—robots patrol the streets while humans survive in the suburbs, scavenging for food and objects. Upon awakening, the protagonist has gained knowledge that could bring about significant changes for his community and, ultimately, for the ancient society to which he belongs. Will he create a weapon? Invent the wheel? Can a dream completely alter the course of our history?

CIEN (Centro de Investigación en Enfermedades Neurológicas) y la Fundación Reina Sofía presentan la VII edición del Memorables Film Festival, un certamen dedicado a visibilizar y promover la creación de cortometrajes sobre el alzhéimer y su impacto en pacientes, familiares y entorno. El festival busca ofrecer una mirada sensible y positiva sobre la enfermedad, combinando arte y divulgación científica.
La próxima edición ampliará su temática para incluir otras enfermedades neurodegenerativas como el párkinson y la ELA, reforzando su compromiso con la sensibilización a través del cine.
Gracias a la colaboración con FICAL 2025, se proyectará el cortometraje ganador de esta séptima edición, Naranjas, dirigido por Gorka Martín-Curto, que además forma parte también del Certamen Internacional de Cortometrajes «Almería en Corto».
CIEN (Center for Research in Neurological Diseases) and the Reina Sofía Foundation present the 7th edition of the Memorables Film Festival, a competition that highlights and promotes short films about Alzheimer's disease and its impact on patients, families, and communities. The festival offers a sensitive and positive cinematic approach, blending art and scientific outreach.
Its next edition will expand to include other neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and ALS, reinforcing its commitment to raising awareness through film.
In collaboration with FICAL 2025, the winning short film of this 7th edition, Naranjas, directed by Gorka Martín-Curto, will also be screened and is part of the International Short Film Competition 'Almería en Corto'.

Estela y Ramón han atravesado una separación y el suicidio de Hugo, su único hijo, con tan solo 13 años, después de sufrir acoso escolar. Cuando Estela obtiene un vídeo grabado por los agresores de su hijo, cree que ha llegado el momento de tener una conversación con Ramón. Mientras descubren la realidad de lo ocurrido con Hugo, tratarán de esclarecer si podrían haberlo evitado y si estuvieron a la altura como padres.
Estela and Ramón have gone through a separation and the suicide of their only son, Hugo, who was just 13 years old after suffering bullying at school. When Estela obtains a video recorded by her son's aggressors, she believes the time has come to have a conversation with Ramón. As they uncover the truth about what happened to Hugo, they will try to determine whether they could have prevented it — and whether they truly lived up to their role as parents.
