Gracias al Concurso de Proyectos de Producción Almeriense, la Diputación de Almería ha contribuido a que diversos largometrajes puedan hacerse realidad, contando con el respaldo inicial de nuestro festival.
En esta jornada, presentaremos las primeras imágenes de dos de los trabajos premiados en ediciones anteriores, los cuales pronto llegarán a las pantallas.
Rabioso es una producción de Chester Media Producciones, Veramaya Producciones y Chestermaya AIE, que cuenta además con la participación de Canal Sur TV, la Diputación de Almería y la Comunidad de Madrid. Su rodaje tuvo lugar en el Desierto de Tabernas. En el reparto destacan José Luis García-Pérez, Patricia Ross, Víctor Clavijo y Eva Almaya (también productora del proyecto), bajo la batuta de Luis María Ferrández. Se trata de un thriller de acción con reminiscencias de western contemporáneo.
Inicialmente titulado Terra Azul, bajo el cual fue premiado en el Concurso de Producción, el proyecto se lanzará finalmente como Blue Border y abordará el tema de la inmigración ilegal hacia Europa. Terra Azul parte de esta problemática para retratar una época, explorando episodios cotidianos que se desarrollan en la periferia (tanto espacial como temporal) del incidente central que nunca llegamos a presenciar: la llegada de otra embarcación clandestina a la costa de la Península Ibérica.
El proyecto nació como una colaboración hispano-portuguesa, pero finalmente participan Francia, Portugal y España. Se ha rodado en su mayoría entre Lisboa y Almería.
Thanks to the Almerian Production Project Competition, the Almería Provincial Council has helped bring various feature films to life, with initial support from our festival.
Today, we will present the first images of two of the projects that were awarded in past editions and will soon be seen on the big screen.
Rabioso is a production by Chester Media Producciones, Veramaya Producciones, and Chestermaya AIE, with the participation of Canal Sur TV, the Diputación of Almería, and the Community of Madrid. Filming took place in the Tabernas Desert. The cast includes José Luis García-Pérez, Patricia Ross, Víctor Clavijo, and Eva Almaya (who is also a producer on the project), under the direction of Luis María Ferrández. This is an action thriller with contemporary western elements.
Initially titled Terra Azul, under which it won an award in the Production Competition, the project will be released as Blue Border and will address the topic of illegal immigration to Europe. Terra Azul uses this theme to portray an era, exploring everyday episodes that unfold on the periphery (both spatial and temporal) of the central incident we never witness: the arrival of yet another clandestine boat on the coast of the Iberian Peninsula.
The project began as a Spanish-Portuguese collaboration, but it now includes France, Portugal, and Spain. Filming took place mainly between Lisbon and Almería.

Marco wakes up chained to the cross of a solitary grave in the middle of the desert. He remembers nothing and has no idea who could have done this to him, especially considering that his own wedding was set to take place that very morning. Just as he’s about to die of dehydration, a ramshackle van appears, driven by Ventura, a street vendor who has only two rules in her business: she never gives credit and makes no exceptions for anyone. But then Ventura’s phone rings, and a voice tells her what lies inside the grave. That’s when the storm begins…
