Vika, de 14 años, vive en una pequeña ciudad de provincias de la región rusa de los Urales. Recolecta frutos del bosque que crecen en los humedales y ayuda a su madre a venderlos en un mercado callejero. Le gustan las clases de coreografía de la escuela. Y tiene un bebé del que nadie debería saber nunca nada.
Fourteen-year-old Vika lives in a small provincial town in Russia’s Ural region. She picks wild berries that grow in the wetlands and helps her mom sell them in the street market. She enjoys choreography classes at school. And she has a baby that nobody should ever know about.

A 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast, exiled in Switzerland, is working to secure a place in the country's National Sports Center. When the Euromaidan revolt breaks out in her country, her anxiety increases as her family becomes more involved in the conflict.

Transformistas cuenta la historia de cómo un grupo de performers talló un camino para la comunidad LGBT en Cuba, contra todo pronóstico, en una época en la que la homosexualidad era denunciada como un producto del capitalismo. La película sigue a Samantha, una artista que regresa triunfal a los escenarios tras pasar cinco años ingresada en un sanatorio de VIH; Omega, la ex "Miss Trans Cuba", que debe enfrentar una muerte trágica e intempestiva; y Cynthia, una artista que una vez fue apuñalada 47 veces después de un show pero vive para contar su historia y compartir su pasión con el mundo.
Transformistas tells the story of how a group of performers carved out a space for the LGBTQ community in Cuba, against all odds, at a time when homosexuality was denounced as a product of capitalism. The film follows Samantha, an artist who was quarantined in an HIV sanitarium for five years, on her triumphant journey back to the stage; Omega, the former "Miss Trans Cuba”, who faced a tragic and untimely death; and Cynthia, a performer once stabbed 47 times after a performance but who lives on to tell the tale and share her passion with the world.
