Nacido en Córdoba, debutó en un pequeño papel en la serie Aida. Tras otras apariciones en series como La catedral del mar, Perdóname, señor, La que se avecina, Sin identidad o Carlos, rey emperador, la popularidad le ha llegado gracias a sus trabajos en las series Amar es para siempre, Velvet Collection, Patria o Luis Miguel, de Netflix.
En cine le hemos podido ver en Gente que viene y Bah, Explota, explota (por la que estuvo nominado a mejor actor en los Premios ASECAN), El juego de las llaves o La ternura.
Born in Cordoba, he debuted in a small role in the series Aida. Following other appearances in series such as The Cathedral of the Sea, Perdóname, señor, La que se avecina, Sin identidad and Charles, Emperor King, he became popular thanks to his work in the Netflix series Amar es para siempre, Velvet Collection, Patria and Luis Miguel.
In films, we have seen him in; In Family I Trust, My Heart Goes Boom, (for which he was nominated for best actor at the ASECAN Awards), The Key Game and The Tenderness.

Fue ganador del Premio Goya 2017 al mejor cortometraje documental con Cabezas habladoras, del que es director, guionista y productor, obra también premiada en Fical.
Ganador del Premio Goya al mejor cortometraje de ficción como productor por Una caja de botones, ha producido también obras como Huntza y Campeones. Sus cortometrajes como director, Entrevias y Yo soy de mi barrio, fueron nominados a los Premios Goya.
Expresidente de la Asociación de Directores y Directoras de Cine (ACCIÓN). Es miembro de la Junta Directiva de la Academia de Cine y de las Artes Audiovisuales.
He has directed the feature films What you Never Knew, Fisiticuffs, Night Flowers and Quinqui stars, which have toured different countries and won numerous awards.
He won the 2017 Goya Award for best documentary short film with Cabezas habladoras, which he directed, wrote and produced, as well as winning an award at Fical.
He won the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film as producer for A Box of Buttons, and he has also produced works such as Huntza and Champions. The short films he directed, Wrong Side of the Tracks and Yo soy de mi barrio, were nominated for the Goya Awards.
He is a former president of the Film Directors’ Association (ACCIÓN) and a member of the Board of Directors of Academy of Cinematographic and Audiographic Arts of Spain
Paco Cabezas

Con un pie en cada lado del océano, ha dirigido películas como Carne de neón o Adiós, y en Hollywood rueda Tokarev (con Nicolas Cage) y Mr. Right (con Sam Rockwell), película de clausura del Festival de Cine de Toronto de 2015. Ha dirigido numerosas series de televisión, entre las que destacan Penny Dreadful, El alienista, Umbrella Academy o American Gods. Este último año ha participado como directo y showrunner en La novia gitana y La red púrpura.
With one foot on either side of the ocean, he has directed films such as Neon Flesh Extra and Bye, and in Hollywood he shot Tokarev (with Nicolas Cage) and Mr. Right (with Sam Rockwell), the closing film of the Toronto Film Festival in 2015. He has directed numerous TV series, including Penny Dreadful, The Alienist, Umbrella Academy and American Gods. Last year he participated as director and showrunner of The Gypsy Bride and La red púrpura.

Como guionista de cine, ha escrito con Alberto Rodríguez los guiones de los largometrajes 7 vírgenes, After, Grupo 7, Modelo 77, La isla mínima, El hombre de las mil caras. Ha obtenido por estos dos últimos títulos el Goya al mejor guion y el Goya al mejor guion adaptado. También ha coescrito el guion del largometraje Ali, junto a Paco Baños; Toro, con Fernando Navarro; y ha colaborado en la escritura de las películas Yo, mi mujer y mi mujer muerta y Las gentiles, de Santi Amodeo.
En televisión ha escrito la serie La peste, para Movistar, de la que ha sido también su director creativo en la segunda temporada. Ha participado también como creador, director y showrunner de la serie El hijo zurdo, para la misma cadena, que obtuvo el Premio a la mejor miniserie en Cannes Series.
As a film scriptwriter, together with Alberto Rodríguez he has written the screenplays for the feature films 7 Virgins, After, Unit 7, Prison 77, Marshland, Smoke and Mirrors. For the latter two films, he won the Goya for Best Screenplay and the Goya for Best Adapted Screenplay. He has also co-written the screenplay for the feature film Ali, with Paco Baños; Toro, with Fernando Navarro; and has collaborated in the writing of the films Yo, mi mujer y mi mujer muerta and The Gentiles, by Santi Amodeo.
For television, he has written the series The Plague, for Movistar, of which he was also the creative director in the second season. He has also participated as creator, director and showrunner of the series El hijo zurdo, for the same channel, which won the Best Miniseries Award at Cannes Series.
