En nuestro deseo de acercar el cine a diferentes colectivos, desde el año 2017 y gracias al apoyo de la Obra Social de La Caixa, realizamos esta actividad consistente en la celebración de encuentros de cineastas con diferentes colectivos o la proyección de películas.
En esta ocasión se proyectará la agridulce Amigos hasta la muerte, de Javier Veiga, para los reclusos del Centro Penitenciario de Almería, que podrán descubrirla de la mano de su propio director.
La tercera edad será protagonista de un cinefórum con El inconveniente, de Bernabé Rico, una comedia que ganó el premio de valores de FICAL 2023.
FICAL SOCIAL también se acercará a los colectivos de personas con discapacidad con la proyección de La vida de Brianéitor, centrada en el actor y streamer almeriense Brian Albacete, protagonista de Campeonex.
This activity springs from our desire to bring film closer to different groups of people, since 2017 and thanks to the support of the Obra Social de La Caixa. It consists of encounters of filmmakers with various groups or the screening of films.
On this occasion, the bittersweet film Friends till Death, by Javier Veiga, will be screened for the inmates of the Almeria Penitentiary Centre, who will be able to discover it with its director.
The elderly will be the protagonists of a cineforum with One Careful Owner, by Bernabé Rico, a comedy that won the FICAL 2023 Values Award.
FICAL SOCIAL will also focus on groups of people with disabilities with the screening of La vida de Brianéitor, centred on the actor and streamer from Almería, Brian Albacete, the star of Championext.

María, Nacho y Suso son tres amigos de toda la vida. Juntos han compartido muchas cosas, quizás incluso demasiadas... "El inconveniente" cuenta la historia de Sara, a quien le ofrecen comprar la casa perfecta: espaciosa, muy luminosa y extremadamente barata. Tan solo tiene un pequeño inconveniente: Lola, la octogenaria dueña actual, vivirá en ella hasta que muera. Aun así, Sara cree que es un buen negocio y decide comprar y esperar.
When Sara is offered the chance to buy the house of her dreams, she can´t believe her luck. The house is light and airy, with spectacular views and extremely cheap. There´s just one small snag: Lola, the 80year old current owner, will remain living in it until she dies.
