El cortometraje sigue siendo uno de los pilares de FICAL y por eso este año abrimos una nueva ventana a la exhibición de obras de este formato.
Por un lado, tendremos la premier de El método M.O:, una obra de Rocío Juárez que consiguió el premio en proyectos de producción de FICAL 2024 y que veremos en primicia este año.
El canal COSMO produce y estrena desee hace años cortometrajes centrado en la violencia de género y contenidos sociales bajo la denominación de NO ERA FICCION. En una sesión especial veremos algunos de estos trabajos y después se estrenará en exclusiva el cortometraje de animación de este año titulado El mismo.
Rafael Gómez Heredia es el autor del documental Los Jerraos, donde se repasa la trayectoria de la familia Gómez "Los Jerraos", una dinastía de especialistas de raza gitana que comenzaron su trayectoria hace ahora 75 años con La llamada de África y que a lo largo de varias generaciones han seguido su oficio. Este cortometraje se proyectará el 22 de noviembre, coincidiendo con la celebración del Día del gitano andaluz, cuando se cumplen 600 años de la llegada del pueblo gitano a España
Short films continue to be one of the pillars of FICAL, which is why this year we are opening a new window to showcase works in this format.
On the one hand, we will have the premiere of El método M.O:, a work by Rocío Juárez that won the FICAL 2024 production project award and which we will see for the first time this year.
For years, the COSMO channel has been producing and premiering short films focusing on gender violence and social issues under the title NO ERA FICCION (It Wasn't Fiction). In a special session, we will see some of these works, followed by the exclusive premiere of this year's animated short film entitled El mismo (The Same).
Rafael Gómez Heredia is the author of the documentary Los Jerraos, which reviews the history of the Gómez family, ‘Los Jerraos’, a dynasty of gypsy stuntmen who began their career 75 years ago with La llamada de África (The Call of Africa) and who have continued their craft over several generations. This short film will be screened on 22 November, coinciding with the celebration of Andalusian Gypsy Day, which marks the 600th anniversary of the arrival of the gypsy people in Spain.

En este 2025 se conmemora el 75 aniversario del trabajo realizado, por parte de una familia gitana almeriense apodada "Los Jerraos" trabajando en más de 450 películas, documentales, show televisivos, spot publicitarios y series de televisión. Los Gómez (Los Jerraos) trabajaban como enlace entre productoras de cine para la contratación de personal profesional relacionado con el mundo del cine, trabajando todo el conjunto familiar en distintos roles, desarrollando tareas diferentes.
In 2025, the 75th anniversary is celebrated of the remarkable work carried out by an Almerían Roma family known as "Los Jerraos," who have participated in more than 450 films, documentaries, television shows, commercials, and series. The Gómez family (Los Jerraos) acted as a liaison between film production companies for the hiring of professionals in the industry, with the entire family working in various capacities and performing different roles within the world of cinema.
