Documental ambientado en la guerra civil española y en los primeros años de la posguerra, cuando las búsquedas, las detenciones y, en ocasiones, los fusilamientos pasaron a ser la rutina en el pueblo Almeriense de Serón. La película recupera testimonios orales y hechos reales de la época.

Documentary set during the Spanish Civil War and the early post-war years, when searches, arrests, and, at times, executions became routine in the town of Serón in Almería. The film recovers oral testimonies and real events from that time.

Un hombre cruza a caballo el desierto que le separa de Bitter Creek. Viene a visitar al Sheriff Jake. Veinticinco años antes ambos, el sheriff y Silva, el ranchero que cabalga a su encuentro, trabajaron juntos como pistoleros a sueldo. Silva viene con el pretexto de reencontrarse con su amigo de juventud, y en efecto celebran su encuentro, pero a la mañana siguiente el sheriff Jake le dice que la razón de su viaje no es el recuerdo de su vieja amistad.

A man crosses the desert that separates him from Bitter Creek. He comes to visit the Sheriff Jake. Twenty-five years before, both - the Sheriff and Silva, the rancher- worked together as salary gunmen. Silva comes with the pretext of reuniting with his youth friend, and in effect they celebrate his encounter, but the next morning the Sheriff Jake tells him that the reason for his trip is not the memory of his old friendship.
