En Una mañana fría, Raquel Troyano nos relata en primera persona las consecuencias de los accidentes de tráfico. Dos propuestas muy diferentes, pero de un gran interés para el alumnado.

PROYECCION EN IES ALBAIDA: «ALEGRÍA»
Acercamos de nuevo el cine a las aulas. En esta ocasión recuperamos Alegría, ópera prima de Violeta Salama, ganadora del premio a la mejor dirección en FICAL 2021 y Premio Canal Sur en el mismo festival.
Alegría es una comedia con final feliz que resalta el valor de la convivencia entre culturas. Se desarrolla en Melilla, ciudad en la que la realizadora pasó su infancia y que sirve de contexto a una historia de mujeres. La boda de una de ellas actúa como hilo conductor para hablar de muchos temas, como las raíces, la familia, la religión, los mitos y, sobre todo, el entendimiento entre culturas diferentes en una sociedad contemporánea.
SCREENING AT IES ALBAIDA: "ALEGRÍA"
We are taking films to the classroom once again. On this occasion we are bringing back Alegría, Violeta Salama's debut film, winner of the award for best director at FICAL 2021 and winner of the Canal Sur Award at the same festival.
Alegría is a comedy with a happy ending that highlights the value of coexistence between cultures. It is set in Melilla, the city where the filmmaker spent her childhood and which serves as the context for a story about women. The wedding of one of them acts as a thread to talk about many subjects, such as roots, family, religion, myths and, above all, understanding between different cultures in a contemporary society.
VIOLETA SALAMA
A pesar de tener solo una película como directora, Violeta Salama posee una importante carrera profesional de muchos años dentro del cine, sobre todo como ayudante de dirección, script o guionista. Ha trabajado en series de gran éxito y repercusión como Arde Madrid o Malaka y ha colaborado con directores como Pablo Berger (Blancanieves, 2012), Manuel Martín Cuenca (Caníbal, 2013), o Paco Cabezas (Adiós, 2019).

Despite having only directed one film, Violeta Salama has had a long career in the film industry, especially as an assistant director, scriptwriter and screenwriter. She has worked in successful series such as Arde Madrid or Malaka and has collaborated with directors such as Pablo Berger (Blancanieves, 2012), Manuel Martín Cuenca (Caníbal, 2013), or Paco Cabezas (Adiós, 2019).

Alegría (Cecilia Suárez) vive de espaldas a sus raíces judías, aunque desde que se mudó a Melilla y se instaló en la casa familiar no está siendo tarea fácil. Al enterarse de que su familia se traslada a su casa para organizar la boda de su sobrina con un joven melillense, su vida se pone patas arriba. Por suerte para ella, la joven marroquí que le ayuda en casa y su mejor amiga, siempre están dispuestas a ayudarle. La posibilidad de reencontrarse con su hija, hace que Alegría soporte con estoicismo y algo de mala leche la invasión de su casa por parte de su familia. Los preparativos de la boda harán aflorar tanto sus diferencias como todo aquello que les une.
Alegría (Cecilia Suárez) has turned her back on her Jewish roots, although since moving to Melilla, settling into the family home has not been an easy task. When she learns that her family is moving into her house to organise her niece’s wedding to a young man from Melilla, her life is turned upside down. Luckily for her, the young Moroccan girl who helps her at home and her best friend are always ready to help. The possibility of being reunited with her daughter helps Alegria bear the invasion of her home by her family with resignation and not a little bad blood. The wedding preparations will bring both their differences, as well as everything that unites them, to the surface.
